I apologize in advance for this post. In a blog dedicated mainly to food and eating, I can't believe I am going to make you all sick to your stomachs with this...but here goes. On our visit to the Ohio State Fair, Corky, Stephanie and I had a detox foot bath. Maybe we were willing to do just about anything to purge our bodies of all the toxins in the food we had just eaten. Maybe we were suffering from heat stroke. Who knows? We did it. The vendor claimed that a 30 minute foot bath would remove toxins and impurities from our bodies through the soles of our feet. There is even this interesting form that they gave us that lists what all the characteristics of the sludge in the foot bath water meant. I myself am very skeptical but will try anything (well almost anything) once. We laughed a lot and poked a little fun at each other when we were told that we had lymphatic system drainage, parasites (professionally called "little creatures" on the form), toxic female system discharge (again, I think this is a medical term) and backed up colon byproduct. We met two adorable boys in line when we were waiting for our turns. The five year old summed it all up for us. "When you put your feet in it is clean, then when it is done it looks like someone pooped in it" he so wisely put it.
